Good Colour Range.

Reasonable Strength
   During First Usages.

Cheap.

Water Soluble.

Fades Easily.

Can't Stand
 High Heat.

Becomes Brittle and
 Tears Easily after
  Long-Term Exposure
   to Heat.

Acetate

Good Colour Range.

Strong.

Waterproof.

Some Fade Resistance.

Endures Temperatures
 to 100 C.

Reasonable Cost.
Buckles and Becomes Brittle
 After High Temperatures,
  or from Long-Term
   Exposure to Heat.

Polyester

Widest Colour Range.

Strong.

Waterproof.

Fade Resistant.

Endures Temperatures
  to 200 C.

Higher Initial Cost
 Compared to Gelatin
  and Acetate.

        (May be able
        to be Recouped
        Over the Life
        of the Gel.)


Polycarbonate

Wide Colour Range.

Strong.

Waterproof.

Very Fade Resistant.

Endures Temperatures
  to 400 C.

Highest Initial Cost
  of the Plastic Gels.

        (May be able
        to be Recouped
        Over the Life
        of the Gel.)



Crinkles Somewhat
  after Exposure to
   High Temperatures.

Can Darken Considerably
  after Long-Term Usage
   under High Heat.

Eventually Becomes
  Brittle after Long-Term
   High Heat Exposure, but
    Remains Fairly Robust

Waterproof.

Extremely Fade Resistant.
